ShareGrid is a Peer-to-Peer Desktop Grid for scientific applications federating small research laboratories.

ShareGrid includes the computing resources shared by several University research labs and private institutions amounting to 300 machines (including both desktop-class and server-class computers).

The users of the laboratories of the participating entities can access the shared environment through the capabilities of the OurGrid middleware (a set of mechanisms for quickly, fairly, and securely sharing and using the resources) to run applications including Distributed Rendering, Simulation of economics systems, molecular systems, scheduling algorithms for distributed systems, Evaluation of Classifier Systems etc.
