In this section, we describe how to install and configure your machines in order to create a new peer for the ShareGrid community.
In particular, it is necessary to install/configure the software for the cluster frontend (called the Peer) and for the machines where to sumbit the jobs (called the User Agents or GuM) responsible for executing submitted jobs.
The following are the key sections to this Guide for you as an administrator:
- Peer – the OurGrid component that coordinates and monitors all grid activities and resources (install/configure the Peer )
- User Agent – the OurGrid component that allows a machine to be used for remote execution of applications (install/configure the User Agent )
